The Twelve Days of Christmas- Imzadi Stlye

Days Six through Eight

Day Six

On the sixth day of Christmas my Imzadi gave to me:

Six shades of red.

Deanna did not speak to Will until the next day. She had locked herself in her quarters and refused to open the door to Will. Even the next day she was still not really talking to Will. Will was making all the effort to talk to Deanna, but everytime he tried, she brushed him off and went on her own way.

Will finally cornered her just before she reached Ten-forward. "We need to talk."

"No, you need to leave."

"I'm not leaving until we talk." Will informed her.

"I saw you enjoying every bit of attention that woman was giving you."

"Deanna, I was."

"You were what?" Deanna asked. "About to sleep with her right then and there?"

"Deanna, this is rediculous!" He exclaimed. He noticed that people were looking at them as they entered Ten-forward. So, he lowered his voice. "Let's go some place else to talk about this."

"You can go some place else if you want." Deanna retorted. "I'm going in to meet Beverly for lunch." Then she ducked under his arm and went into Ten-forward.

"Deanna." Will called after her, but she did not respond. "Damn!"

Dejected, Will went back to his quarters. He did not know what to do to get Deanna to listen to him. He would have eaten lunch before he went back to the Bridge, but he had lost his appitite.

All he knew was that Deanna was upset about what happened in the holodeck the night before. She would not let him explain, much less talk to him. He had no idea if their wedding was on or off now. All he knew was that Deanna was so angry that she would not even talk to him.

He had to come up with a plan to get her to talk to him. He had no idea what would work, but he knew he had to try. So, he searched the ship's stores for anything that might appease Deanna and get her to talk to him.

"If I could just get her to listen." He thought to himself. "If I could just tell her that that woman means nothing to me. If I could just tell her that she means more to me than the stars. More to me than the universe itself."

Back in Ten-forward, Deanna was telling Beverly what had happened in the holodeck the night before. Deanna was almost on the verge of tears as she explained what the lieutenant did and how Will reacted.

"He did what?"

"Actually, it was that new lieutenant." Deanna explained. "And Will was enjoying every minute of her seduction and right in front of me too!"

"Well, he is a man." Beverly stated.

"And what is that suppose to mean?" Deanna asked angrily. "He is suppose to be engaged to me. Not fratinizing with the women in lower ranks or any woman for that matter."

"Well, maybe since she's new on this ship." Beverly began cautiously. "She doesn't know you two are engaged. Maybe you should be having a talk with her, instead of Will. Let her know, nicely, that you two are engaged to be married."

"Maybe you're right." Deanna conceded. "But I'm still not talking to Will."

"And where is that going to get you?"

"I don't know." Deanna said sadly. "I don't know if I want to call the wedding off or not now."

"Deanna, if you call off the wedding you'll regret it for the rest of your life."

Deanna nodded. "Maybe so, but then I won't have to worry about him cheatting on me, like he did with Wendy Roper years ago and all the other women in between."

"And you may not have to worry about that once you are married either."

"I don't know anymore." Deanna cried. "I don't know if I can even trust him."

"Did he give into this woman advances?" Beverly asked.

"Not in front of me." Deanna admitted. "But how do I know he didn't between the time he was at my door trying to talk to me and this morning?"

"You don't." Beverly stated. "You're just going to have to take his word for it."

"I don't know if I can take his word for it."

"Well, do what you want Deanna." Beverly stated as she rose from the table. "Whatever you decide, I will support your decision. For now though, I have to get back to Sickbay."

Deanna did not say another word. She just sat at their table and watch Beverly leave Ten-forward.

Day Seven

On the seventh day of Christmas my Imzadi gave to me:

Seven dozen roses.

The next day Will thought he had thought of the perfect way to get Deanna to talk to him. The only thing he could do is wait and see.

He had seven ensigns make the delivery to her quarters early in the morning. It was 0730 hours when Deanna heard the chime to her quarters ring.

She was surprise to hear someone would be at her door this early. "Who could that be at this time in the morning?"

She walked over to the door and open it. When it openned she saw several ensigns at her door. Each with a dozen roses. Each dozen roses were in a vase. Her eyes grew wide.

"What is this?" She asked with surprise.

"They're roses." An ensign answered.

"I can see that, but why so many?"

"Don't know." The same ensign replied. "You should read the card."

"Yes." Deanna said still puzzled by the delivery. "Bring them in."

All seven ensigns filed into her quarters one by one with the roses. They carefully found a place to set the dozen roses they each had.

"Well, I think that's it, ma'am." Said another ensign as he headed for the door.

"Do you know who sent them?" Deanna asked.

"We were given strict orders not to tell you." Yet another stated.

"Why?" Deanna asked now very confused.

"The person who sent them to you wants you to read the card that is attached to one of them." Said the same ensign who had just answered her last question. The she too headed for the door.

"Isn't it romantic?" Another young female ensigned said with a giggle.

"Yes." Deanna replied completely confused as she watched the rest of the ensigns depart from her quarters.

She stared at all the flowers. "Will Riker, if you think eighty-four roses is going to make me forget what happen the other day you have another think coming."

She searched for the attached card that was supposedly attached to one of the vases of roses. Some vases were red and others for green. "Very Christmassy" She thought.

She finally found the card in the dozen roses on the corner table. She detacted it from the group of flowers. Then paused for a moment.

"Why should I read it?" She asked herself, still angry from the other night. "Then again, I am rather curious as to why he sent all these flowers."

She finally decided to open the card. Her nimble fingers openned the card and she read the words that Will wrote from his heart.

"My dearest Deanna,

I want you to know that you are the only woman in my life. I love you more than the stars. I love you more than the universe. I even love you more than life itself. There is no other woman who can fill me with so much love and joy. There is no other woman who can ease my mind. My love for you is infinite.

Will"

A tear rolled down Deanna's cheek. "Oh, Will. I'm so sorry."

The door to her quarters swished open and shut. Deanna knew who entered her quarters, but she turned around anyway. The tears in her eyes flowed freely as she softly repeated her last words.

"I'm so sorry."

Will walked over and hugged her closed to himself. "It's alright, Imzadi."

"No, it's not." Deanna cried. "I shouldn't have accused you. You didn't do anything."

"I know, but it is alright." Will said and then kissed the top of her head.

"I don't know if I'll ever forget." Deanna sobbed. "But I do forgive you after all of these years."

"In time." Will stated. "But always remember, I love you, Imzadi and that will never change."

"And I love you, Will."

Eighth Day

On the eighth day of Christmas my Imzadi gave to me:

Eight different kinds of oils.

Deanna enter my quarters today with a nice gift for me. I was surprised that she did that after what all has happened lately.

"Go ahead and open it."

"You sure?" I asked.

"Um, hum." She assured me.  "You might want to use at least one of them before today is over."

"Oh really?" I asked with a smile as I unwrapped the gift.

"Yes." She smiled at me.

"Oils?" I asked with curiousity.

"Yes. One's for your trombone and the other seven are scented and flavoured massage oils." She explained. "Any ideas?"

"Humm." I thought. "You up for a back rub or shall I give my bone a lube?"

"Will!" She exclaimed and turned a few shades of red.

"I was talking about my trombone." I stated non-challantly. "What did you think I meant?"

"Really?" For some reason, she doubted me. Then she changed her tone of voice to a flirty tone. "I'd rather give you a back rub."

"Miss Troi, if I didn't know better, I'd say you were flirting with me."

"Me? No, I just thought you could use one."

"OK, where do you want me?" I conceded.

"Take off your shirt and lie down." She told me.

"Where?"

"Your bed is fine."

"Now I know you are up to something."

"Honestly, Will! Why do you think there is always an ulterior motive with me?"

"Ok then. I won't say another word." I gave into her. "I'll let you run the show."

"That's right. Just lie down on your stomach and let me give you the back rub."

"Alright." I walked into my sleeping area. She followed me and watched as I removed my shirt. I noticed she was staring at my biceps and triceps. Lifting my eyebrows up and down with a sly smile, I asked her, "Like what you see?"

"Don't flatter yourself Will Riker. Just lie down."

"Party poopper." I teased with a smile.

"OK, shall I use sandlewood, floral, musk, cherry, strawberry, warming oil, or my favourite Chau- coo- lot." She drawled the last word out and it sound so seductive.

"Humm. How about chocolate." I teased. "You'll enjoy licking it off of me."

SMACK! She swatted me on my behind.

"OW!" I screamed. "What was that for?"

"Just keep your mind out of the gutter."

"Why? I think it's more fun that way." I stated as she began to massage my back and shoulders.

She leaned over my shoulder and cooed in my ear. "We'll have time for that on our honeymoon."

"Bring the oils with you." I asked her.

"Don't think I won't." She told me.
