Girls Night Out

Deanna was in Ten-Forward waiting for Beverly to arrive. They had planned an evening with a holodeck program. It was to be the two of them so they can have time to themselves without the men hanging around.

While Deanna was waiting she ordered a chocolate sundae with whipped cream, cherries, and sprinkles on top. It was not her usual chocolate concoction. She wanted something different tonight. Something out of the ordinary.

Little did she and Beverly realize that tonight was differently going to be different. Very different from their usual nights out together.

While Deanna was waiting for Beverly, Data sat down beside her.

"Hello Counselor."

"Hello Data. How are you tonight?"

"Well, aside from Spot going insane over her new toy and destroying my quarters, I am fine."

"Oh? What sort of toy did you give her?"

"A mouse."

"Oh, Data! Please tell me it was not real."

Data cocked his head sideways. "Why would I torture a living mouse when a toy one can be replicated?"

Deanna breathed a sigh of relief. "You did say it was a toy. I guess I was just overly concerned, but if it was not real why did your quarters get destroyed?"

"Spot plays very rough and is very active." Data informed her. "I must say, most people can not deal with her level of activity."

Deanna saw Will and the captain enter Ten-Forward. She was a little disappointed that it was not Beverly.

"Number One, I do believe you worry too much about me." Picard was saying to Will as they appoarch the bar.

"Captain, your place is on the Bridge." Will replied.

"That maybe, but I do have the choice to meet new people if I so choose. These Catatons seem friendly enough and invited us to dinner tomorrow night."

"Captain, aren't the Catatons carnivores?" Deanna asked.

"Yes, they most certainly are. However, they only eat food freshly caught."

"They also like to play wrestling games in their free time." Will informed. "And if they were to invite you to wrestle, I'm afraid you would get hurt."

"Oh? And who is he going to wrestle?" Beverly finally arrived and was very concerned about the discussion.

"The Catatons." Deanna informed.

"Jean-Luc, I don't want you in my Sickbay because of some sort of game you were playing."

"I assure you, Doctor, that I will not get into any rough games when I visit."

"Not if I can help it." Will stated. "If I can help it you won't leave the Bridge."

"It's just a friendly away mission, for the purpose of establishing friendship and maybe a future alliance with the Federation." Picard informed.

"Yes and how many times have you almost died from meeting new people?" Beverly asked.

"It was not always meeting new people, Doctor." Data replied. "He has been in multiple near death experiences over his lifetime."

Beverly frowned. "Thank you, Data. Please don't remind me. Some of those I have had to bring you back to life, Jean-Luc!"

"I'll be fine, Beverly."

"You'd better be or I'll beat you back to life!" She threatened.

Riker chuckled. "I bet she would too, Sir."

"Well." Deanna began. "Beverly and I have a meeting of the minds to attend. If you three will excuse us."

"Oh, yes. Be our guest." Riker said as he waved his hand gallantly toward the doors.

"Are you ready, Beverly?" Deanna asked.

"Yes. You won't believe what I have in store." Beverly smiled.

Then she turned towards Jean-Luc and stepped close to him. "You had better behave yourself or else." She playfully threatened.

"Or else you'll beat me back to life?"

"Don't think I wouldn't!" She replied with a smile.

The three men watched the two women leave and Geordi enter Ten-Forward.

Riker's face began to light up with a mischievous smile. "I have an idea."

"Did I miss something?" Geordi asked.

"Not yet." Riker replied. "But you will if you don't stick around."

Will gestured for the men to lean in close to him. "I have a plan to really shake up their holodeck fun."

"Sir, that could be dangerous to shake up the holodeck." Data stated.

Riker shook his head. "Figure of speech, Data." Then in low tones, Will explained what he had in mind.

"Sounds like fun." Picard said with a smile. "It's been a long time since I've joined my senior officers in an evening of fun."

"It will be great, Sir." Will informed him. "The most fun you'll have in a long time."

"Maybe I should just call it a night." Geordi began.

"Oh, come with us. It'll be fun." Will encouraged.

"Nah, I'd just be a fifth wheel."

"No, you wouldn't. We'd enjoy having you." Will continued to encourage.

"Are you sure?"

"We'd love to have you come along with us." Picard said.

"OK, I'll come, but I still feel like I'm intruding on you guys."

"Don't be." Will reassured him. "It'll be more fun with you."

"Alright, just say the word and I'm ready." Geordi replied.

"Do you know what the program is that they will be enjoying tonight?"  Picard asked.

"No, but I'm sure we can find out and go from there."  Will replied.  Then he smiled and added,  "Whatever it is I'm sure we can incorporate some of my ideas into it."

"I can't wait to get started." Deanna stated. "What do you have in mind tonight."

It was Beverly's turn to choose the holodeck program. She had not yet told Deanna what the program was. So, Deanna was anxious to find out what it was as they walked down the corridor.

"Well." She began. "I thought I would set up a program that was replication of Mr. Livingston's health spa on Earth."

"Don't you mean Doctor Livingston?" Deanna inquired.

"No, Doctor Livingston was a story. This man has a health spa. One that any doctor would recommend to a patient who was over stressed and needed serious shore leave."

"Sauna and whirlpool?"

"The works!" Beverly stated excitedly.

"Sounds wonderful!"  Deanna said, enthusiastically.

They entered holodeck nine and the atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing.  Soft music played in the background as a man greeted them at the door.

"Doctor Livingston, I presume."  Deanna inquired.

"Yes ma'am."  He replied.  "However, I will not be your host tonight.  A young man called Chip will be your host."

A shapely and buffed man approached them and greeted Deanna with a nodded.  "Welcome."  He said with a smile.

"This is going to be better than I thought."  Deanna whispered as she leaned towards Beverly.  "To bad we have to share."

"Ah, but you don't!"  Mr. Livingston stated.  "He is your host.  Miss Crusher has a young man to be her host also."

A second man walked into the main area and greeted Beverly.  He too, was also shapely and buffed.  "Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Dale."

"Pleased to meet you."  Beverly smiled.

"Even better."  Deanna grinned.  "So, what are we going to be treated to first?"

"How about a Swedish massage?"  Chip offered.  "Then a relaxing whirlpool."

"Oo!  Sounds wonderful!"  Deanna replied excitedly.

"Yes, it does."  Beverly smiled.  "I told you it would be very therapeutic."

The two men escorted Beverly and Deanna to where they would receive their massages.

Jean-Luc, Will, and Geordi walked towards the holodecks.  Along the way, they met Wesley.

"Hi!"  Wesley greeted joyfully.

"Hello, Wesley.  How are you?"

"Well."  He began.  "Actually, I'm a little bored."

Will smiled.  "I have an idea.  Why don't you join us."

Wesley grinned.  "Sure!  What are you guys doing?"

"Well, actually, Wes."  Picard began to explain.  "We're about to join your mother and Deanna on the holodeck."

"Yes."  Agreed Will.  "Only we're not invited."

"Then why are you going?"

"To crash their little party."  Geordi informed.

"Oh, great!"  Wesley exclaimed.  "I have a great idea.  We could get them with water balloons and water guns."

"Um, maybe not such a good idea."  Picard stated.

"Why not?"  Wesley asked.  "They're going to get wet anyway."

Will patted Wesley on the back.  "Maybe he doesn't have such a bad idea, Sir.  We need something to make it interest rather than just showing up at their little party."

Wesley smiled.  "Great!  I'll go get the things and meet you back here."

"Gotta you, Wesley."  Will replied.

Geordi turned towards Will and Jean-Luc.  "I'm not sure this is such a good idea, Commander.  They could get awfully upset with us."

"That's the fun of it Geordi."  Will replied.

"I'm not so sure I want to be a party of this."  Picard answered.

"Loosen up, Captain.  Live a little."  Will suggested.  "Have some fun."

It was not long until Wesley returned with loaded guns and balloons.  He had two bags of water balloons and had replicated three more waterguns.

"Here you go, Sirs."  Wesley offered.  "When do we get started?"

"I'm ready to crash the party anytime you are."  Will informed all of them.

"Let's do it before I decide to back out of this."  Geordi said.

"Agreed."  Added Picard.

They entered holodeck nine and were immediately stopped by Mr. Livingstone.

"I'm sorry, gentlemen, but you may not come in here with those weapons."

"Oh, we're here to meet two women."  Jean-Luc informed.

"Be that as it may, you may not come in here with those weapons."

Will looked at Wesley and nodded.

"Weapons?"  Wesley asked.  "What weapons?"

Then Will and Wesley immediately fired their waterguns on Mr. Livingston.  He let out a shout of shock and then Will gestered to everyone to head towards their right, in hopes they would soon find Deanna and Beverly.

"After them!"  Mr. Livingston yelled.

Soon the party of four were being chased by three men.  "Stop!"  One of the men shouted.

"I guess we should boom them with a few water balloons."  Will suggested.

"I agree."  Wesley replied.

"At this point I'm agreeable with anything anyone suggests."  Said Geordi.

"I'm begining to think this was a bad idea."  Jean-Luc stated as they ran around the corner.

Wesley quickly gave everyone a water balloon.  Then the four of them threw their balloons at the three men.  The three men slid down to the floor on top of each other as Will, Wesley and Geordi laughed.

"Let's go."  Jean-Luc proffered.  "Before anyone else stops us."

"OK, but keep your watergun ready for anything."  Wesley suggested as he pumped his watergun.

"Agreed."  Replied Will.

"Since when did I get demoted?"  Jean-Luc asked.  "And Wesley become captain?"

"Since he shared his waterguns and waterballoons, Sir."  Will answered.

"I should have known."  Picard grumbled.  "You play a child's game, you can expect a child to lead you."

"You know, Sir."  Wesley began.  "Commander Riker is right.  You do need to loosen up."

Jean-Luc looked a little indignant towards Wesley.

Geordi suddenly stopped.  "Sirs, they are in that room to our left."

Will smiled.  "I love your visor.  Ready on three guys."

They all nodded and then busted into the door.  Chip and Dale were still giving the two women their massages, when the doors burst open.

"Hey!"  Dale said turning around at the sound of the door popping open.  "You can't come in here!"

"Oh?  You and what army is going to stop us?"  Will asked as the four of them began spraying Chip and Dale with their guns.

Deanna jumped up and began to yell at Will.  "Will Ri."  Her voice stopped when she got a mouth full of water from the watergun Will was using.

"Jean-Luc, this is not like you!"  Beverly exclaimed as she stood and watched him spray Dale with his gun.  "And you, Wesley Crush."

She never finished her sentence.  Wesley had hit her square on the leg with a water balloon.  "Ah!"  She screamed.  It was just enough to loosen her towel from her body and it fell to the floor.

"Mom!"

She quickly bent to the floor to retrieve her towel and quickly wrapped her naked body back in the towel again.

Her son and the three grown men stopped firing suddenly.  They gawked at the site of Beverly loosing her towel.

Deanna quickly tried to come to Beverly's rescue.  "What?  You guys have never seen a woman without clothes before?  Much less one who was in the middle of a massage?"

"Actually."  Wesley began with a grimace.  "She's my mother.  I could have lived a long time without that sight."

"I'm going to get dressed."  Beverly said, still slightly embarrased as she walked behind a partician.

"You're right, Wesley."  Will agreed.

"Quite so."  Jean-Luc agreed.  "We should have never barged in here like this."

"The captain is absolutely right."  Deanna scolded.  "You shouldn't have."

Beverly walked back out dressed in a robe.

"Beverly."  Jean-Luc began as he started to follow her.  "I'm really sorry.  We never thought."

"That's right.  You didn't think."  Beverly replied.  "Now if you will excuse me, I have to go to the dressing room and retrieve my clothes."

"You should be ashamed of yourselves."  Deanna scolded as she followed behind Beverly, leaving the four of them behind.

They stood there staring as they watched Deanna and Beverly leave the room.

When the two women were outside the room they saw Mr. Livingston.  "Sir."  Beverly address him and gestured for him to come closer.  She whispered something to him and he nodded.  Then he went back to the main area.

"What did you say to him?"  Deanna asked.

"Oh, nothing.  Just suggested he give the boys the punishment they deserve."  Beverly answered.

Will, Jean-Luc, Geordi, and Wesley started to walk out of the holodeck.  As they were about to leave Mr. Livingston stopped them.

"Gentlemen, your bill."  Then he handed them a slip of paper with words and numbers on it.

"What?"  Jean-Luc asked.

"$100 for damages?"  Geordi exclaimed.

"$600 for the massage?"  Will asked unbelievingly.

"What damage?"  Wesley asked.  "It's just water.  It'll dry."

Deanna walked past them with a smug look on her face.  "Exactly."

"But in the meantime."  Beverly began.  "Water causes mold and the wood warps.  Among other things.  Look it up, Wesley.  I'm sure your brillant mind can comprehend what kind of damages water can cause."

Then the two women exited the holodeck, leaving the three men and boy dumb-founded and shocked.
