Possibility:
A Worf and Kheylar Story
This is a what if story. What if Kheylar had not die? What would Worf and Kheylor's life be like then? Would they live separate lives, be mated, live their lives with each other? This is my version of the possibilities.
Chapter 1
Duras was in
Kheylor's visitor's quarters. She had quickly turned her COM off, so no one could see what she was looking up.
“What do you want?” she growled out in the middle of
their discussion.
Duras wanted her silenced and to stop poking her nose where it did not belong. The conversation then esculated. Alexander was in the next room listening and heard everything. Then his mom was in trouble. Duras was hurting her. He quickly ran out the door unnoticed.
-----------------------------
Worf had been thinking of Kheylar and the last time they saw each other and now six years later they meet again. He had had a son that she had not told him about. Was she right? His Klingon pride stood in his way of many things or was it her Human side coming out of her. He remembered her words when he said Alexander knew nothing of their ways, referring to Klingon ways. She said,”Remember, I am also part Human. He will find his way.”
Worf was very discouraged. He wanted so bad to take the oath with Kheylar, but now the Klingon world has turned their backs on the House of Mogh. He could not have her and Alexander shoulder that disgrace. He had to clear his father’s name first.
Suddenly, a small scared little Klingon running into his quarters interrupted Worf’s thoughts. He could see the fear in the child’s eyes.
“What is it, Alexander?” he asked in his deep voice.
“Mother, she’s in trouble. Duras..” the boy was so scared he could hardly talk.
Worf called security and had them meet them at her quarters.
“Stay here.” Worf commanded.
The young boy did not though. He followed Worf. After all this was his mama and he wanted to help her.
Worf rushed in to see Duras getting the stronger end of the
fight. Kheylar was hurt badly and Duras was obviously out to
finish the job.
Security followed in behind Worf and Alexander. Worf manage to stun Duras and he was out cooled. Security carried Duras’s limp body to the brig. Kheylar was badly injured and Worf called for sickbay. Now both Worf and Alexander were concerned for Kheylar's life with what they say of her injuries.
“I’m on my way.” Dr. Crusher responded.
“Kheylar.” Worf said barely audible.
She was in a lot of pain. Duras had gotten the best of her. Blood was everywhere. Worf could tell she was barely hanging on to life.
“Doctor, come on. Hurry up!” Worf shouted in his head.
Kheylar fell unconscious. Worf was on the verge of tears, but he reminded himself “Klingons don’t cry.”
For the first time in his life Worf was scared. Scared that he was going to loose someone very dear to him. Scared that he was going to loose his beloved mate. The one person he was not complete without.
Finally, Dr. Crusher and her assistances rushed into the room. Worf pulled Alexander out of their way. Alex did not want to leave his mother’s side.
"Mother!" tear weld up in Alexander's eyes.
“I need 10cc of ________ and then let’s get the
anti-grav stretcher over here.” Beverly commanded.
All was done rather quickly and efficiently. They headed for
sickbay with Kheylar on the anti-grav.
Alexander started to follow, but Worf made him stay. Counselor Troi, arrives, for she had sensed the emotional upheval and knew that someone maybe in need of her services. However, when she walked in Worf walked without saying a word. She sensed he was out for blood and decided now was not the time to talk to him. Instead, she turned her attention to the young boy.
“Well, Alexander.” Deanna said. His little eyes just
stared up at her. Tears welling up in his big brown eyes.
“Why don’t we wait and see how your mom is doing later. We could go have some ice cream or something, in the
meantime.”
Of course the little guy did not feel like food. He just shook his head. Deanna did her best to comfort him while they waited for the news concerning Kheylar.
Meanwhile, Worf went down to the brig. He was seething and out for blood. He wanted Duras dead, but he reminded himself that the Right of Vengence was to be taken only if a family member was killed. Kheylar, as far as he knew was still alive, for now.
“Leave us!” was all that he said to the officer
guarding the brig. It was more of a growl than it was actual
words thought.
By this time Duras was conscious again. Fully alert and ready for anything. Well, almost anything. Thanks to Worf’s knowledge and experience, he had taught his officers well. They had stripped him of all weapons. Not a weapon could be found on him.
“I suppose you want to kill me now?” Duras inquired.
“I come to tell you," he growls "if she dies, I
will claim the Right of Vengence!” Worf's voice was deep and threatening. Worf turned and left after he said those few words to Duras.
Meanwhile, in sickbay, Dr. Crusher was working hard to save
Kheylar’s life. The injuries were massive. She had no idea if she could save Kheylar's life. Kheylar’s condition was very critical. After hours of working, she finally had Kheylar’s life signs stable.
“Now all we can do is just wait and let time take it’s course.” she said. “I’m going to go tell her family the news.”
Dr. Crusher found Worf, Alexander and Deanna in Worf’s
quarters waiting anxiously for news. Any good news, that is
concerning Kheylar.
“I have some good news.” She informed them. Everyone
listened carefully as Dr. Crusher explained that her vital signs were stable, but Kheylor’s condition is still critical. Kheylar would be in sickbay for quite a while. For now, all they could do was wait.

Chapter 2
A few days had passed and Kheylar was starting to improved. She was alert and conscious, now and Alexander was so happy that his mother was doing better. He was so proud of himself, because he had saved her life.
During the time he and Worf had together, Alexander discovered Worf was his father. He had learned some things about his father in the last few days that he had never known. Today, however, Worf and he went to visit his mother and he was very excited about seeing her. It was the first time since Duras had attacked her that he had gotten to see her. Kheylar was still very weak, but doing better.
“Mother!” he shouted running up to her biobed.
She smiled a weak smile toward him and said, “Hi, Alexander. How’s my son?”
“Fine, Mother. I was very worried about you!”
“Dr. Crusher says I have you to thank for me being still
alive.” Kheylar informed her son.
“Yes, I got him.” Pointing to Worf with a big smile.
“And he saved you, actually, from Duras.” Alexander was a very proud boy.
“Worf” she said weakly. “Are you taking good care of him for me?”
“Yes, I am.” Worf replied.
“Have you told him?” she asked in a rather weak
whisper.
“That I am his father?”
Kheylar nodded weakly.
“Yes, I have." he stated. "I could not lie to him when he asked me.”
“That is good.” she said.
Kheylar was feeling so tired at this point and closed her eyes. Dr. Crusher was near by and could tell her patient was ready for more rest. She walked over to Worf and Alexander to inform them visiting hours were now over.
“OK guys,” she said. “Visiting time is over with. The patient needs lots of rest. You can see your mother again tomorrow, Alexander. OK?”
The young boy nodded, hugged his mother, and left with his
father.

Chapter 3
Kheylar had spent two weeks recovering in sick bay. Dr. Crusher had released her on the condition she continued to get rest, but was not going to give her permission to travel back home just yet. However, Kheylar was stubborn and was determined to go against doctor’s orders. She was ready to go home, especially since Worf did not want to be mated now, due to the incident concerning his father. She did not care about that or what other Klingons thought either. Worf did though. So, she had put Alexander to bed for the night and started packing their things to leave in the morning.
Her chime to her door rang. She went to answer it and saw that it was Worf. She gave him an "oh, it's you" look.
“Come to say your good byes?” Kheylar asked coldly.
Worf felt very awkward about this situation. He, a Klingon, felt nervous. He just had to mustard up the courage to ask her.
“So, are you just going to stand there or are you going to come in?” Kheylar asked in a Klingon tone.
“Yes.” Worf walked into her quarters.
“So if it’s not goodbye then what is it that is on your mind?”
“I…” Worf hesitated.
“Come now. That’s not very Klingon like to
hesitate.” Kheylar mocked him.
Worf started to feel anger flare at the remark, but decided it was not worth him getting upset right now.
“No”, he thought. “Not with the question I’m going to ask her."
"Cat got your tongue?" she continued. "I don't
bite. Whoops, I did it again. I do bite. I just keep
forgetting."
She had a joking look on her face as she teased Worf. Worf was not going to let it riel him in the least. For he had to get what he was going to say out, somehow.
“Kheylar,” Worf started, “Do you still wish to
take the oath with me?”
“Worf, as I told you after we got here, I too have felt
incomplete without you.”
Worf grabbed the side of her head and spoke the Klingon words of mating. Kheylar responded with her words and they came out so naturally. Their Klingon emotions grew stronger and when the words had been spoken, Worf held her hands very tightly. So tightly, blood was oosing out. They then proceeded to make Klingon love. Rough Klingon love making, which was all Klingon love making was. Rough and sometimes a little bloody, especially during mating. The mating ritual was completed. They loved each other as Klingons do and so very deeply.
Afterwards, they relaxed in the quite after glow. After several minutes of silence Worf spoke softly. As soft as a Klingon could at least and said, “I would have been lost if anything had happened to you.”
Kheylar just looked at him and smiled.
Then she said, “So, where do we go from here?”
“What do you mean?” he asked.
“I’m an Emissary. I have to travel from time to
time.”
“I was hoping you would stay here.” Worf said.
Those were the wrong words to say. Kheylar was inflamed now. She had her job and he had his. There was no way they could both keep their jobs and be together always. So being Kheylar and Worf an argument insued. In the end Kheylar would be coming back between missions, so she and Alexander could be with Worf. Worf decided a Klingon woman’s wrath was hard to deal with sometimes and agreed to being together between her assignments.
